Self-Promotion for Introverts® Book Review

“Those who are able to market themselves and meet people in their industry are the ones who will ultimately receive promotions and leverage connections to secure new opportunities,” says blogger Christine Mosnik in a recent review of my book, Self-Promotion for Introverts®. She adds, “Extroverts tend to be naturals at showcasing their accomplishments. For introverts, however, this process can be very draining and intimidating.”

Mosnik shares highlights from my book that resonate most with her including focusing on your strengths and picking self-promotion activities that play most to those strengths—rather than getting defeated because you’re not a natural at working the room at a cocktail party.

Mosnik continues, “Although self-promotion may not be at the top of the list of desired activities for introverts, getting ahead necessitates it.” She concludes, “Introverts are competing in a world full of extroverts who have no qualms about sharing their ideas. The upside is that introverts can draw on their strengths to network and market themselves in a way that’s both palatable and effective.”
